From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader: The Legacy of Superfine Printing

Our Story: A Legacy of Craftsmanship, Family, and Giving Back
Our journey began in the early 1960s when Martin, a skilled printer and immigrant from Eastern Europe, arrived in the heart of New York City with nothing but a dream, a deep knowledge of printing, and an unshakable work ethic. Determined to build a future for his family, Martin scraped together enough savings to purchase a single printing press and opened the doors to what would later become Superfine Printing.
Operating out of a modest shop tucked away in Manhattan, Martin dedicated himself to the craft of printing, offering meticulous attention to detail and personalized service. Word quickly spread about his reliability, quality work, and fair pricing. As the demand for high-quality commercial printing in New York grew, so did Martin’s reputation—and his customer base.

A Growing Family Legacy in Custom Printing
From the very beginning, Superfine Printing has been a true family business. Martin’s children and grandchildren grew up around the sounds of printing presses and the scent of fresh ink, learning firsthand the values of hard work, craftsmanship, and customer service. Today, three generations of the family work side by side, continuing Martin’s vision with the same integrity and commitment that defined the company’s early years.
This hands-on family approach allows us to blend decades of experience with modern innovations, ensuring our clients receive both old-school dedication and cutting-edge results. We treat our clients like extended family, guiding them through every step of their custom printing journey—from concept to completion.

Expanding Into New Markets
As our expertise and capabilities grew, so did our vision. In 2015, we identified a growing need for premium specialty paper and envelopes for crafters, designers, and small businesses. To meet this demand, we launched FineCardstock, an e-commerce brand offering high-quality paper goods to creatives across the country.
Recognizing the increasing popularity of DIY stationery, event planning, and handmade greeting cards, we created FoldCard in 2021—a separate platform dedicated to colorful card sets, educational posters, postcards, and creative learning tools. Each division addresses a unique audience, enabling us to better serve the diverse needs of our customers.
A New Era: Three Brands, One Mission
Today, our commitment to innovation and excellence is reflected in our three distinct yet unified brands:
- Superfine Printing: Custom commercial printing services for businesses, organizations, and individuals.
- FineCardstock: Online store for high-quality specialty paper and envelope supplies.
- FoldCard: A creative hub for greeting cards, art posters, flashcards, and classroom charts.
